Fire Inspections

Plan Review

The Fire Marshal’s Division performs plan review and inspection of new construction and remodels, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and other fire protection systems to prevent fire and/or fire spread. Plan review must be complete and accepted before beginning any work.

Life Safety Code

The City of Wichita Falls has adopted the 2015 IFC and utilizes these code requirements during both the plan review and inspection process. City ordinance requires annual inspections of commercial businesses by the Wichita Falls Fire Department. Occupancy inspections are one of the primary tools used to ensure safe behaviors that reduce the risk and loss from a variety of emergencies.

Permits

Below is the permit application for the Wichita Falls Fire Department. Please fill this out to the best of your ability and drop it off at our Administrative Office or email the completed copy to firemarshal@wichitafallstx.gov. Fire Sprinkler Contractors will need to be registered with the Building Department before beginning work. Once plan review is complete and all applicable fees have been paid, contractors may begin work.
