Monica Aguon, Assistant City Attorney

Monica Aguon assumed the position of Assistant City Attorney in February 2023, bringing over 13 years of diverse legal expertise. In her current capacity, Monica collaborates with senior attorneys, offering invaluable support in employment legal matters, city litigation, claims management, and navigating complex real estate matters. She diligently reviews subpoenas issued to city staff and adeptly represents them in court as needed. Moreover, Monica serves as the legal liaison to the City’s Landmark Commission.

With a rich professional background, Monica has excelled in various legal arenas, including roles as an Assistant District Attorney, Assistant Attorney General, and as an associate in a private law firm specializing in civil defense in personal injury cases.
