  1. Reduced Saturday Hours at the Landfill and Transfer Station

    Wichita Falls, Texas – Beginning Saturday, July 31, 2021 the City of Wichita Falls Landfill and Transfer Station’s operational hours will be adjusted to 10:00am to 4:00pm. Due to personnel staffing issues, the reduced hours are necessary to meet regulatory manning requirements and to ensure the safety of the employees and customers. The City of Wichita Falls Landfill and Transfer Station look forward to continuing to provide service to our residents for all disposal needs.     Lucy Park Pool in Lucy park is open 7 days a week from 12:00 pm to 6:00. General admission is $2 for 17yrs and under, $3 for 18yrs and older. Concessions stand available.

  3. FREE Sports Physical Clinic

    July 29, 2021, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Community Healthcare Center

    ommunity Healthcare Center is having a FREE Sports Physical Clinic for middle school and high school students from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29th at Community Healthcare Center. This event is for ALL school districts, private schools, and youth sports leagues. All athletes and extracurricular students, such as marching band students, can get their sports physical completed at this event. The student does not have to be a patient of Community Healthcare Center to participate. Community Healthcare Center will also have the Pfizer COVID Vaccine available for ages 12 and older during the FREE Sports Physical Clinic. A parent/guardian must attend with anyone under the age of 18.

  4. American Dreamer Indie-Folk Band

    July 29, 2021, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ The Forum

    This Austin-based group is comprised of four gifted musicians who bring a heavy dose of strings to their unique blend of Indie-Folk. The quartet’s music builds on relatable Folk songs, transformed through bold string arrangements (violin, cello, bass) and resplendent three-part harmony. American Dreamer has toured nationally and performed widely across Texas. The Youth Symphony Orchestra will also be holding a special raffle for three amazing prizes – need not be present to win that evening.
