Wichita Falls Public Library
We're collaborating with The City of Wichita Falls Public Works - Utilities department to host a READING CHALLENGE for National Drinking Water Week!!! ** Reading logs will be available starting April 22nd ** Kids can read any three books about water, fill out a reading log to let us know what they thought of them, and turn in the log during National Water Week (May 1-7) to earn a free plushy - courtesy of The City of Wichita Falls Public Works - Utilities!! We'll have a display of water books (picture books, leveled readers, and nonfiction books) for kids to choose from, but any and all water-themed books count!!
South Weeks Park
REE After School Fishing sessions are conducted for area youth ages 5 – 16 (11 & under must be accompanied by an adult). All bait will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their fishing poles; however, a limited number of poles will be available to borrow from Texas Parks and Wildlife on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will receive personalized and expert instruction on standard fishing techniques from Texas Parks & Wildlife staff. Fish of legal size can be taken home (if parents approve, of course). All should bring a bucket for “take-home” fish, a drink, a hat, and sunscreen.

Dani Carson, from Apache, Oklahoma, is a country/soft rock performer joining the stage with longtime friends Jeff Cutler, Frank Ryan and Tanner Harrison. Dani has been performing since mid-2012, having traveled to parts of Texas, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee and Louisiana to perform her own music, as well as classic covers such as “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac.

Since the start of Dani’s career, she has opened for acts such as Stoney LaRue, Wade Hayes, Johann Cash-Yates (sister of the legendary Johnny Cash) and many more. She also received awards for her work with the Jimmy Jack Foundation, including the very first “Artist of the Year” Award in 2016 from the foundation. If you’re looking for a show that’ll bring back some memories and make some new ones while they’re at it, you won’t want to miss this show!
