River Bend Nature Center
The Dallas Zoo is coming to River Bend Nature Center on May 2nd! There will be two animal shows at 10 am and 11:15 am. This 45-minute interactive program features animals from around the world! This program is open to schools and the public. Groups of 10 or more must reserve their spot using the form below. Don’t miss your chance to see these exotic animals up close and personal! South Weeks Pond
Come out and reel in the fun! The Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation department in conjunction with Texas Parks and Wildlife (TWPD) will be hosting free After School Fishing sessions for all area youth.
What to expect at the event:
?? Participants will receive personalized and expert instruction on common fishing techniques.
?? Registration will be completed at South Weeks Pond the day of the event.
?? A limited number of fishing rods will be available to borrow from TPWD.
?? Bait will be provided by the Parks and Recreation Department.
?? Fish, of legal size, can be taken home.
All participants should bring the following items:
-Bucket for “take home” fish
Memorial Auditorium - City Council Chambers
The Wichita Falls City Council meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers located on the first floor of the Municipal Auditorium, 1300 7th Street, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Due to special circumstances, the start time and location of a Council meeting may be adjusted. Check the current agenda to determine the actual time and place. The meetings are open to the public. The current City Council Agenda is posted on this site the Thursday prior to the scheduled Council meeting.
