“In a transparent cloud of acetate, print, and paint, I explore the continual reinvention of written language. Each item in the multi-piece installation displays the tech meme “Hello World” in a different language and writing system. Familiar tech symbols (emojis, location balloons, etc.) are randomly interwoven with the text. These old and new symbolic systems highlight the ubiquity of computing in modern life and at the same time, invite the viewer to imagine the creation of visual language as an ongoing, living human endeavor.” DATES: Exhibit Open from Friday, January 12 to Saturday, March 9, 2024 ARTIST OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, January 13th from 2:00 to 3:30pm • Open to the public • Complimentary light bites and beverages LOCATION: Kemp Center for the Arts -1300 Lamar, Wichita Falls, TX 76301 DETAILS: • Self-guided art exhibit. • FREE!
