Volunteering at the Wichita Falls Animal Services Center provides hands-on experience in caring for animals and supporting shelter operations. 

Volunteers assist with tasks such as walking dogs, bathing and grooming animals, basic training, and general shelter upkeep. The primary focus is enriching the lives of the animals during their stay at the facility.

Age Requirements

• Ages 12–16: Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Age 17: May volunteer independently with a signed parental waiver.

Getting Started

• Turn in a volunteer application to Animal Services.
• Allow approximately two weeks for processing, which includes a background check.
