Notice of Funding Availability for Program Year 2025-2026

The City of Wichita Falls invites all non-profit and public entities to apply for subrecipient funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Program Year 2025-2026. This funding cycle coincides with the federal fiscal year which runs from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.  Generally, the City receives approximately $1.2 million in CDBG funding annually with approximately 25-50% being granted to subrecipients in any given year.  However, fund levels for the upcoming year have not yet been determined.

  • Please read the application carefully as the format and some requirements have changed.
  • Applications for CDBG funding should be returned to the Neighborhood Resources Division on or before MONDAY, April 04, 2025, by 5:00 P.M. Only typed applications will be accepted.
  • Projects located within the 100-year floodplain are NOT eligible for funding. For more information on this please see the "Supplemental Information" below.
  • All CDBG applications must meet a national objective for the CDBG Program.   Applicants must detail how their project will meet one of the objectives / eligible activities listed in the application.
  • Grants for service-related activities are limited due to federal regulations, and, as such, are highly competitive.  Eligible projects related to physical improvements of the organization’s facility typically have greater funding availability. While eligible physical improvement applications generally have more funding availability all eligible applications will be accepted.
