Neighborhood Empowerment Zone (NEZ)

The City of Wichita Falls has created its first Neighborhood Empowerment Zone (NEZ) Program. A NEZ is a municipal initiative that designates specific areas to stimulate private investment and community revitalization. Through incentives such as tax abatements and fee waivers, this program aims to help its citizens improve neighborhood conditions by promoting affordable housing, economic development, and enhanced social services within the Heart of the Falls Neighborhood Revitalization Area.
