CLINICAL  AND ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING

The Laboratory's main purpose is in direct support of the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District's in-house operations. These include the Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Clinic, Disease Intervention Services (DIS), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Program, and supporting the Environmental Health Division with aquatic facility water samples and any other sample needed in the event of a public health response such as processing food samples or surface swabs. These support services range from clinical laboratory testing of blood, serum, urine, and other body fluids to analysis of food, water, and soft serve ice cream samples.
