Trees, shrubs, flowers and ornamental grasses have been planted on almost all of the city's medians, triangles, and highway interchanges. Greening street corridors seems to have a positive effect on motorists' mood and behavior. With that concept in mind, we plant evergreens and pansies on the medians to bring color to the landscape even in winter.
