Note: Only birth certificates for individuals born in Texas may be obtained from the Vital Statistics Division, and then only after proof of identification and legitimate need for the certificate. Out-of-state certificates cannot be obtained, however, the Vital Statistics Division will be happy to assist you in obtaining the correct address where you need to write to obtain one.
